Over two decades of construction experience, 10+ years of plumbing expertise, and a commitment to the Northshore community
DJB Plumbing Services has deep roots in the trades. Owner David launched his career in 2003 with MBD Properties, building new construction homes from the ground up. Over the next several years, he developed a thorough understanding of how homes are put together: the structures, systems, and craftsmanship that make a house work.
In 2007, David shifted his focus to remodeling under the name Finishing Touch Remodeling, helping Northshore homeowners update and improve their existing properties. That hands-on experience across hundreds of homes gave him a uniquely deep perspective on residential plumbing: how it ages, where it fails, and how to fix it right.
By 2015, David had committed himself fully to plumbing, earning his Illinois plumbing license. After a decade of hands-on plumbing work, he formally opened DJB Plumbing Services in May of 2025. Today, he brings over two decades of trades experience to every job, backed by a license, insurance, and a reputation built one honest repair at a time.
When you call DJB, you get experienced professionals who treat your home with care and respect.
David brings over two decades of construction experience building homes from the ground up, before dedicating himself full time to plumbing. His deep background in the trades gives him a perspective on residential systems that few plumbers can match. Outside the job you'll find him on the ham radio or out with his camera.
Ezra holds a degree in physics but found himself drawn to hands-on work, which led him to the trades. He brings sharp problem-solving skills and a methodical mindset to every job. When he's not on-site, he's crafting jewelry or deep into a video game.
An engineer by training, Zev was drawn to the satisfaction of hands-on work and found a home supporting DJB's operations. He keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes so the team can focus on delivering great service. Off the clock he's either scaling a rock face or working with wood in his shop.
Every job is covered. Illinois license #058-199253 and full insurance give you peace of mind on every visit.
We give you a clear estimate before any work begins. No surprise charges, no upselling, just the work you need.
20+ years in construction means David understands your home's plumbing in the context of how it was built, a perspective most plumbers don't have.
DJB is a Northshore business serving Northshore homeowners. We're invested in the community we work in.
